August 13th to 14th 2012 ~ Bryce's Wedding!!

August 13th ~ Grooms Dinner

All of the Hoer Kids and I drove up to Provo the weekend before, Thursday or Friday, and on Saturday August 11th Chelsea got her endowments out!! It was really neat to be able to go through with her and it was at the Timpanogus temple and I had never been there so that was cool.

But on Monday, August 13th we cleaned Bryce's apartment and helped him move out of his apartment and into the 4 plex (the one mom and dad own) where Chelsea and he would be living after they get married. We truly did echo the Hoer family motto today though, Work Hard Then Play Hard because we worked all morning and afternoon with moving Bryce and setting up for the Grooms dinner and then we played hard at night! The grooms dinner was a Hawaiian Luau and it was full of good Hawaiian food, Hula dancing and even a fire dancer!! It was so fun to be with family again and actually talk to them, especially because at Lucas and my wedding we were so busy greeting a ton of people we didn't really get to talk to anyone...or atleast that is how i felt! So it was nice to actually talk to the family that was able to come to the grooms dinner. After the dinner we helped take down all of the decorations and tables and all of the boys left to have a Bachelor party for Bryce. When it was time to leave Chelsea realized she had misplaced her keys. We searched everywhere, walking with flashlights looking all over the grass. After a while of searching and a prayer offered by Chelsea's friend, we looked through the window of her car and saw that her keys were locked into the car. One of Chelsea's friends was able to get a hanger wedged between the door and the side of the car and after a while she had the keys on the hanger and pulled them out! It took some great skill to get them out and Chelsea's friend happened to have those skills. Overall it was a really fun night and all of the hard work during the day paid off!

We all have colored pant...were not the typical blue jeans group!

August 14 ~ Wedding Day!!
It was a Tuesday, the 14th day of the eighth month of the year. It was a bright, beautiful day in Salt Lake City, Utah and a perfect day for a wedding! The family stayed at Little America in Salt Lake City, which was a perfect location because we were able to take the electric tram to the temple! I was going to pack and bring Lucas's temple recommend for him but he said he would remember to bring it....guess what...he didn't remember to bring it! We were able to call our Bishop and work something out but to make sure he could get into the temple and see Bryce and Chelsea get sealed we went early, an hour and fifteen minutes early with Bryce and Chelsea to get everything set up. Good thing we went that early though because Bryce and Chelsea forgot their marriage license at the hotel. Chelsea's friends were able to run it to us but Lucas and I were the designated people to stand on the street and wait for them to pull up with the marriage license. From there everything went smoothly. Everyone was on time to the sealing, a good number of family and friends were able to come to the sealing and it was just an amazing sight to see loved ones in a beautiful white room witnessing the marriage of my big brother!
After the sealing it was picture time!! It was fun taking pictures but by the end of the pictures my feet were killing me!! I had borrowed Anna's shoes because all of the Bridesmaids just wore the same matching shoes that were generously provided by Diana for my wedding but since I was the bride I didn't have a pair so Anna borrowed Chelsea's that were just a little big on her and I borrow Anna's that were just a little big on me. I ended up just walking bare foot on the sidewalk to Chick-Fil-A with the family for lunch.

All of the Utleys and Hoer's that came to the wedding...and the Tielemans :)

After the wonderful lunch provided by Daddy-o we went back to the hotel room to freshen up and get ready to go set everything up for the reception at the Wheeler Farm! There was just one little problem. Chelsea and Bryce were going to eat the lunch at the hotel room, that we brought for them, and come later to the reception to just make sure everything was set up properly. But one of Chelsea's friend took her car...so they didn't have a car to drive to the reception with! Chelsea and Bryce had to come with us to the reception, which ended up working out but then of course they ended up helping set everything up and didn't really get to relax much before the ring ceremony and reception. We had a lot of helpers and the barn on the Wheeler farm looked magnificent and ready for a party!!
The ring ceremony was really neat and special. It was fun walking down the isle escorted by my man and it was really special to see Bryce walk down the isle with his beautiful bride! Elizabeth Allen was able to play the violin while everyone was walking down the isle so that made it even better!
Then it was party time!! The reception was full of good food, fun friends and even some dancing!! Overall it was a wonderful, eventful day that was full of wonderful people and fun!

Bryce and Chelsea got married on my parents anniversary and they let them have an anniversary dance!!

August 6th 2012 ~ FHE at the Lake

Luke and I were able to go to FHE with all of the Utley aunts to celebrate Madison Allen's birthday and it was a really fun night! There was only one jet ski and a good number of cousins and people present but it was still really really fun because we had lots of good food. We had plenty of fruit, chips, good drinks and aunt Carolyn brought hot dogs and cake. We all met up at aunt Carolyns and then we carpooled over to Lake Mead. Lucas and I were able to ride with aunt Maria and Isabella and Elliana. It was really fun riding over to the Lake with them. At the lake the water was warm but still refreshing from the heat. Overall it was just a fun night, hugging my new husband while on the back of a jet ski with him, getting thrown off of the jet ski, swimming with the cousins and talking and eating with everyone.

If you look closely, you can see all of the mosquito bites on my legs from St. Lucia...ya, those aren't bruises!
I truly did get eaten alive!
