September 21, 2013 ~ Diana's Wedding!
Diana is married!! It was such a fun occasion. I love weddings! It was nice because everyone was able to come. Bryant came from Chicago for it! It has been a while since all of the Hoer siblings have been together so it was really nice. Diana and Cody are like a model couple, both very good looking. It was special being able to see my big sister get sealed to Cody for all eternity. It made me remember my wedding day and how wonderful a day it was. I am so grateful that Lucas and I are able to spend all eternity with each other, we are going to have so much fun!
The decorations at the reception were awesome. I loved the lights and everything. It was fun being able to see old friends and a lot of family came in town for the wedding so it was fun seeing family also. Carolyn, Monica and Seth were able to stay at our house for a night before leaving to go back to California. Monica is pregnant and such a cute pregnant girl!

September 13, 2013 ~ Date Night
September 13, 2013 ~ Date Night
We went outside to go walk to Jack in the Box for a mini date night and we found a kitten outside! The kitten was so cuddly, it let me pick it up, so naturally we brought the kitten inside for some milk. Lucas reminded me that he is kind of allergic to cats after I had already brought the kitten inside house, so we had to put the kitten back outside and we continued on with our walk.
On our walk we wrangled up all of the stray shopping charts, it was really fun and a slight service to the community.

I'm wearing my new bowling shoes! Weeknight bowling = $1.50 a game per person
(since we both have our own shoes)

August 3, 2014 ~ Fundamentals Nursing Class
August 3, 2014 ~ Fundamentals Nursing Class
I just finished my second semester in Nursing school! It was my first semester in the hospital and we were at Cenntenial Hills hospital. I learned a lot of nursing skills this last semester, hence the title of the class Fundamentals. In the hospital we mostly did CNA work though because we have to be passed off on a skill in class before we can do it in the hospital. I still learned a lot though and it was a lot of fun! I felt like I was able to take the time that the nurses don't have and just get to know the patients. I was able to do therapeutic conversation, bathe patients, feed patients and do a lot of non pharmacological pain management. Near the middle of the semester I was able to give oral medication. It was a good first semester in the hospital and I had a really good clinical group! Rob was a wonderful clinical instructor and always answered my questions.
