April 2013 ~ Easter!!

Our first Easter being married was filled with wonderful new traditions! At the Tielemans house we had an Easter egg decorating contest and then we had an Easter egg game. In the Easter egg game we rolled our Easter eggs towards each other and saw which one would survive the collide and not break. We also had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. The Easter eggs were filled with candy, money and random dollar store things.  Lucas and I dominated the easter egg hunt. We got the most money and the most prizes!
At the Hoer's house we had a huge feast! It was exciting to see everyone and spend time with everyone. The Murie family came over and ate dinner with us also.
The week leading up to Easter we read excerpts from a blog each day that highlighted Christ and that was the best part of Easter. It helped me get into the spirit of Easter and remember how Christ was the best example of how we should live and how he was crucified for us. He really did suffer for us. He experienced temptations, thirst, hunger, fatigue and pain for us. He knows how we are feeling because he experienced it himself. I am so blessed to have this gospel in my life, a wonder family and a wonderful family that I have married into. Mosiah 2:41 sums up my life I feel like. It states, "And moreover, I would desire that ye shoulder consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual..."
