July 4, 2013 ~ Kristen's wedding & Fireworks
4th of July landed on a Thursday so I got school off! Surprise, we went to a Jewish wedding for 4th of July! Kristen Meath got married on July 4th and we went to the wedding. It was a nice ceremony because they had a program that explained all of the symbolism behind everything in the ceremony. I wish I would have kept the program because some of the symbolic things in the ceremony were quite romantic and meaningful. After waiting for 2 hours after the ceremony (no joke, 2hrs) we ate dinner. During the 2 hour wait Lucas and I were starving and debating on leaving and going to McDonald's and coming back. Our whole table was pretty hungry though and so it wasn't just us. Our table was right next to the buffet table so that didn't help. I ended up just going and sneaking a roll...which started a movement of girls getting rolls for their table. The rolls tasted so good (only because we were so hungry). Once the Bride and Groom arrived we ate and the food was actually really good (except the rolls). They had a picture booth and dancing and it was a good night. I love weddings!! We left after the firework show to do our own fireworks. Our first 4th of July at our new house!
