June 22, 2013 ~ Rachel's Birthday

I can officially sit at a bar and drink now...so 21 isn't that special of a birthday for a Mormon girl, but it was still an exciting birthday! But when I mentioned to my classmates I was turning 21 Ken said that no matter what I will always get carded because I don't look anywhere near 21. I am used to people thinking I am a teenager still so this comment wasn't surprising. I will be happy I look younger then I am in 10 years though! I was at Centennial Hills hospital all day for clinicals but my classmates made it special. They gave me a balloon, card and Jen brought me a piece of cake. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends in the nursing program! Oh and we also had the beloved simulation lab today...and of course I got picked to go first!

After school I got ready to P-A-R-TY! I got on my cute new birthday maxi skirt from Lucas and we went to Claim Jumper with my family. After trying some Lobster for the first time (I am 21 and feeling adventurous) we went and saw a movie. It was a nice, relaxing birthday with the people I love. 

And of course the party continued on Sunday. We had a family dinner with everyone at the Hoer household on Sunday.
