June 28th & 29th~ traveling, Monica's endowment and the Fair!
On Thursday June 28th I got off work and mom, Anna, Luc, Jac and I traveled to the beautiful San Diego! On the ride up I worked on thank you cards for the wedding, i thought I got a lot done but I only got 20 done, which isn't much of a dent. But we stayed at aunt Catherine's 3 bedroom condo off of the Del Mar beach and it was so fun! We were a 2 minute walk from the beach and the condo was really nice, I never actually made it to the beach but it was still nice!! We went to Rubios for dinner and I was able to talk to my new husband on the phone. It was the first time I had left him since we got married and the first trip I had done without him since we got engaged...it was a lot harder to be apart from him then I thought it would be!
The next morning mom and I went to the San Diego temple for Monica's endowment. It was so fun finally going into the San Diego temple...the temple I thought was a castle as a little girl. It was so special to be able to see my cousin Monica, who is only 6 weeks younger then me and whom I was really close to growing up, go through the temple and get her endowments out!! One of the perks of being married at a young age is that now I get to see all of my cousins and friends go through the temple and I can't wait!! After the endowment mom and I went grocery shopping and for once grocery shopping was actually really fun. There was just a lot of different food at the grocery store, food that you wouldn't be seen Vegas.

We then went back to the condo and ate lunch with Anna, Luc and Jac, who were all sandy and wet from the beach (lucky). Then it was party time!! We went to the Del Mar county fair and it was so much fun!! It was the first time I had been to an actual fair, peach days in Hurricane Utah doesn't count. We didn't actually ride on any rides but we played some booth games, the girls got matching rings, we ate delicious fair food and I saw Mitt Romney. It ended up being a really fun night and I wished Lucas could have been there.
Jac and Luc with their chili cheese dogs
I know Hot Churros are good, but not too sure about the chocolate covered bacon!
Deep Fried Butter...for $3...must be good or else they wouldn't be able to charge that much!
Hamburger and Turkey leg :)
Mitt Romney has my vote!!
June 30th ~ wedding day!!
It was a bright sunny day in California with a little more wind than was wanted but it was still a good day for a wedding. Monica's sealing was in the San Diego temple and it was the first sealing I had been to since my own. It was so fun to see my cousin get married and it was so fun to see all of my cousins again.
Brandilyn's cute little baby Lucas. I was missing Lucas so I just had to get a picture with Lucas.
After pictures on the temple grounds we picked up the kids from the condo and went to a luncheon at 3pm at the institute building across the street from the chapel the reception was held at. The lunch was sloppy joes but it was like a really good pulled pork for the meat with pasta salad and potato salad. There were also toasts from the fathers and it was really sweet because you could tell uncle Stan was just proud of Monica getting married in the temple and that he just loves her so much. After the lunch we walked over to the chapel and helped them set up for the reception and helped Brandilyn, Monica's photographer and sister, take pictures of the wedding party. It was fun because I got a picture with the bride!
Anna and my matching rings!
The fun center pieces at the reception.
The reception was a lot different than I thought it would be because the only people I knew where my siblings and Monica's siblings but Anna and Kaniesha and I had fun talking and there was music so it was so much fun dancing with all the California Hoers! It ended up being a fun little vacation weekend to San Diego and it was fun being around family.
